Camo Jeans

Tshirt - ASOS
Shirt - Ebay
Jacket - F&F
Jeans - ASOS (ON SALE)
Boots - Missguided (not available, but similar ones here from Topshop)
Bag - Ebay
Necklace - Vintage find

Another outfit post using some long lost pieces of my wardrobe, these camo jeans. I brought these before christmas last year and have probably worn them around 5 times. When i brought them i didn't want a camo print to out there, and these are perfect because of the muted tones of greens and greys. Me being me i love plain black trousers and sometimes get scared to wear patterns on my bottom half as i am always worried that they don't go with anything else i am wearing, but today i was feeling brave and wore my checkered shirt around my waist to give it an 'grunge' feel. They don't go together in the slightest but i kind of like the pattern clash. Also it was a bit chilly so later on in the day i wore the shirt underneath my trusty leather jacket.

Have you found any pieces of clothing that you have forgotten about? maybe you should route around you never know what you might find. Leigh xo

Manuka Doctor - Bee Venom

Hey guys i wanted to share with you an exciting new brand Manuka Doctor who specialise in purified bee venom. Now for the history lesson if you haven't heard of bee venom before it is the new for of 'Botox'. Bee venom has been used by humans for many thousands of years. Often referred to as ‘apitherapy’, it can be traced back to ancient Egypt, Greece and China. The first well documented usage in Europe can be attributed to Phillip Terc, an Austrian Physician who wrote the ‘Report about a peculiar connection between bee stings and rheumatism’ in 1888.

The benfits of bee venom is to encourage naturally occurring cell regeneration, boost collagen formation, prevent sun damage, accelerate the recovery of damaged skin cells and also work as an alternative treatment to antibiotic therapy for acne.

I was lucky enough to be invited along to their event in London, for unforeseen circumstances i wasn't able to make it but was given the chance to try the products anyway, which was lovely. I was given two products which i am rather chuffed with. The first is from the Apiclear range which is a foaming cleanser and the second is from their Apinourish range which is an age-defying serum.

Apiclear - Foaming Cleanser (Balance for troubled skin) - £16.99

Apinourish - Age Defying Serum (Hydration for youthful looking skin with UMP 18+ Manuka Honey)  - £24.99

Apiclear - Foaming Cleanser (Balance for troubled skin)
helps to reveal a more radiant complexion by eliminating daily impurities to combat the appearance of blemishes leaving skin visibly clearer and calmer.

I am always looking for new products to test out on my skin as i get really bad dry skin, and i find most Bloggers/ Youtube Gurus have oily or combination skin, so i find it hard to even look for new products because no one seems to be able to recommend me anything. This foaming cleanser couldn't of come at a better time. I have been using it morning and night for the past week. The cleanser really deeply cleansed my pours after using my face felt more fresh and 'clean' (You will know what i mean if you have used a good cleanser) The substance is quite thick but this is down to little beads in it which gently exfoliate the face also. My skin felt amazing afterwards i would highly recommend this if you suffer with dry skin as it was very moisturising as well. The product retails at £16.99 - Some might say this is a little bit steep for a cleanser, with all the nutritional and organic components in the product and for it to actually work. It is so worth the money if not more.

Apinourish - Age Defying Serum (Hydration for youthful looking skin with UMP 18+ Manuka Honey)
- is a wonderfully light serum  that combines Purified Bee Venom with UMF 18+ Manuka Honey and Royal Jelly to stimulate collagen and elastin production, leaving skin looking and feeling visibly firmer. Antioxidant rich Propolis, Rosehip and Blackcurrant Oil offer protection against free radical damage, whilst  UMF 18+ Manuka Honey and Hyaluronic Acid instantly hydrate and inflate tired looking skin to smooth out wrinkles and improve sagging.

I know i am only 19 and people will probably quiz me to why i have decided to use an anti-ageing serum. Well thats just it i don't want to look old. An old's wife's tale i heard was the younger you start using creams like this the more youthful you will stay. I don't know how truthful this tale is but it makes sense doesn't it. I was so happy to receive this product as it was already on my birthday list. Usually i have tried serums before, i find them to be very drying and harsh to my sensitive skin. This product is completely the opposite to anything i have tried before. It is the best product i have used in ages, i can't say i have noticed and 'Anti ageing' but i am still youthful with no wrinkles so i wouldn't be able to tell anyway. But for hydration for my ever drying skin this ticks all the boxes for me. My skin is so silky after using it and best of all it even keeps my makeup on better? Is this a coincidence, i think not. This product retails at £24.99.. I am not even bothered about the price tag because i have found a product that works with me. You only need the smallest amount to cover the whole face so i can see this lasting a while another bonus to chuck in, is it also has a pump feature HURAHH! I recommend everyone to try this out!

Where you can find the products : Manuka Doctor is sold through Superdrug.com, selected Lloyds Pharmacies, Tesco beauty concept stores, independent pharmacies & Holland & Barrett stores nationwide. For more information visit  www.manukadr.co.uk.  You can also tweet Manuka Doctor @Manukadr for any information.

I want to know if you have tried any of the products? Show some love and get involved Leigh xo

Old Shoes

Jacket - Primark (similar)
Leggings - H&M
Jumper - ASOS
Shoes - Dorothy Perkins (similar)
Scarf - Alexander Mcqueen (Dupe Here)
Sunglasses - ASOS
Earrings - ASOS

This was taken a day before we were hit with that dreaded snow, and it actually started to feel like spring. I was able to whack out my sunnies and enjoy the weather. I went a bit over the top with khaki in this outfit, but i don't really mind as it compliments my olive skin perfectly. The shoes i am wearing were probably brought nearing on 5 years ago, they don't get much use and to be honest i forgot i had them until i moved back to my parents. You seem to re kindle with lost treasures when you have to unpack all of your stuff. I will be getting more use out of them now they have been found.

How is everyone coping with the snow, i thought it was spring. How very wrong i was indeed Leigh xo

Neon Beanie

Jacket - F&F
Denim Shirt - ASOS
Tartan Scarf - Camden Market (Similar)
Leggings - H&M
Chelsea Boots - ASOS
Beanie - eBay

As you can tell from my previous posts i have been none stop wearing this tartan scarf ever since i brought it down Camden. I usually never wear much colour, but since i have been happier it has changed the mood of my clothing also. I know neon colours have already been & gone last year but i never really got on board with the whole trend, Now its died down i have been setting it off again. I always seem to look really thrown together when I'm at college. Maybe its the early and rushed mornings. The dreaded snow was back today and it's here to stay for the weekend, for some reason i thought it was meant to be Spring?

Hope everyone is keeping well, drop me a message on twitter (@obviousleigh) i love talking to people

Animals Wearing 3D Glasses

Jacket - F&F
Shirt - Romwe
Jeans - H&M  (Similar)
Chelsea Boots - ASOS

Alas i am back with a new outfit post. My Macbook decided to go AWOL hence the lack of blog posts. My friend took this photo a few days ago and here we have my favourite shirt back on the scene!  This outfit was really thrown together and theres not much going on but i love the quirkiness of the shirt , it's so unusual :)

We couldn't get the same spot to take photographs so we had to make do in the store room so sorry if the quality isn't as good as normal! How is everyone it feels like forever since i have sat down and wrote to you :D Leigh xo

Yellow Tartan

WHAT I WORE:
T shirt - ASOS (similar)
Jeans - H&M (similar)
Shoes - Primark
Scarf - Camden Market (vintage find)
Jacket - F&F

Today was a lovely springs day, although a bit chilly i felt the need to whack out my sunnies and didn't feel like a total tool. Today i chose to wear something really casual, I chose a bright scarf to break up the dullness of the grey top. The top is really quite long so i tucked it into the waistband of my jeans for a more 'thrown together' look. I completely forgot i still had these jeans and I'm sat here wondering why i left them in the dark for so long. These are the ultimate comfy jeans, they fit nicely just below my waist, are light weight and also i love the way they look with the hems rolled up. Leigh  xo

London Town Outfit

WHAT I WORE:
Jacket - F&F
Shirt - Romwe
Disco Pants - AA
Chelsea Boots - ASOS
Beanie - ASOS (not the exact one but similar)
Bag - H&M (Not the same colour, but same style)

This was what i wore on the day i travelled down to LDN. I thought about getting a picture with something that resembles London, so i stood proud in front of the fountain at Trafalgar Square. I am in love with the new Pop art trend that keeps appearing so when i found this shirt on Romwe i knew it was destined to be mine. Although it took 2 weeks to arrive it was seriously worth the wait and it was a bargain at around £10.00 (with free P&P). Nothing is cooler than animals with 3D glasses on right? I will warn you now that this shirt is going to be my staple piece while the weather warms up, so don't be surprised if you see this on another post or two WOOO! What do you think to this new trend that is emerging? Leigh xo

London Town

The weekend just gone i took a trip down to the big city. I fancied a break away from where i currently live and it gave me an opportunity to see my friend Emma down there. If you follow me on Instagram (obviousleigh) you would have probably already seen that i mainly went to the tourist attractions. Last year i went down to LDN a heck of a lot and never got the chance to see anything, so i promised myself that this weekend was all about being a right ole' tourist! Below are some pictures i took, excuse that they are all on Instagram but it was easier getting out my phone than my camera :)

Guest Post sunday - Michelle AKJ

Today we have a fellow blogger from across the pond. Michelle runs Michelle AKJ her blog has excellent beauty reviews and a 'Style Monday' feature which showcases different outfits she would wear for certain occasions. I love reading these features as you can guarantee you will like something from every single one.

Hello loves! My name is Michelle living in a really small country, Singapore. I'm currently 17 and I'll turn 18 soon, no actually not so soon.. is October soon? A typical day of mine will be: sleeping, eating, watching movies online or crime/law related TV shows (otherwise I rarely touch the television), blogging, recording videos for my YouTube or editing videos and going out at least once a week or maybe even twice! I'm having 4 months of school holiday (this month being the 2nd almost 3rd) and once school reopens, I'll officially become an accounting student! Yay! Oh and I type a lot..
