April Glossy Box

CAUDALIE VINOSOURCE SOS THIRST-QUENCHING SERUM, INIKA COSMETICS CERTIFIED ORGANICE EYELINER, AYUURI NATURAL BODY WASH, FIGS & ROUGE LIP BALM, KAI PERFUME OIL

It feels like ages since i have written a blog post about a GlossyBox, but that is because they took there time making this natural box. When i opened my parcel and saw the texture/colour of the box i knew we were in for an all natural beauty treat.

I am really impressed with this months box mainly because there is 3 full sized products in it, but also i have been meaning to buy a fig & rouge lip balm for a while now there is no need (i also love the rose scent). The Caudalie serum was one of my favourite products and i welcomed it with open arms as i am always trying to find a remedy for my ever so dry skin. Although i did get a rather small perfume sample it actually smells pleasant and natural like. In the box i also received a new eye liner i have not heard of the brand Inika but i am really looking forward to trying it out, although its in quite a vibrant colour (peacock blue) i quite like that its getting me out of my comfort zone when it comes to makeup, i believe it will work well with a grey smokey eye. Last but not least i also received a body wash it smells like coconut nothing more and nothing less to say other than I'm pleased that it is full size.

Every product in this box i will get good use out of, so unlike last month i really feel like i haven't wasted yet another £12.95. what did you receive in your box?

TAG: 7 Deadly Sins Of Beauty

1. GREED
What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item would be my Collection 2000 cream puff moisturising lip cream which i bought at boots for 2.99. I have one in the shade 'Cotton Candy' and one in the shade 'Fairy Cake'. My most expensive item is my MAC Pro Long wear Foundation in NW25

2. WRATH
What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
What product has been the hardest to get?
I find i have a love hate relationship with foundations, i don't know is its me or the products, but i find that when i use a new foundation its really nice, flawless etc etc. and then once you have used it for a bit it, my skin goes really dry and sensitive. So then I'm on a hunt to find another foundation. Does anyone else have this problem?
There is nothing that i have found hard to get because you can pretty much get everything online. But there is a shower bomb from Lush which seems to have been discontinued in the Lush store near me and i think its called Hangover or something along those lines.

3. GLUTTONY
What are your most delicious beauty products?
This would have to be my Lip Scrub from lush in the flavour bubblegum. nothing more to say apart from YUM.

4. SLOTH
What beauty products do you neglect, due to laziness?
I neglect my eyeshadow in the day i usually only wear it if I'm going somewhere special or just out on the town and also i neglect highlighter on my face.

5. PRIDE
What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
its between my No.7 Colour Calming Primer and my Cook MAC Fluidline

6. LUST

What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

They have to smell good, something sexy and manly i like Daffidoff cool water on men.

7. ENVY
What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Theirry Mugler - Angel
MAC Powder Blush - Melba
Makeup Forever - HD Foundation
Bobbi Brown - Corrector

The Travalo Excel

Winner of Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards 2010 here is the Travalo Excel, here is a product which i have always needed for convenience and yet i have never come across until now and I'm wondering why i haven't heard of this before. In my eyes this product is a must in every woman/mans bag/purse/pocket/briefcase you name it.

The Travalo Excel is a refillable atomizer bottle that has an easy refill system. No more spillages when transferring your perfume/cologne into another container. When i first used this i was shocked at the ease of use and it took a matter of seconds to fill the container. The Travalo Excel comes in 10 different shades too suit every ones personalities. When filling it up you can see how much fragrance is in there as the bottle has a fill level window, once filled you get around 65 sprays.  With the bottle being 8.6cm it fits anywhere. I actually went out the other night for drinks with a few friends and this came in really good use, it saved me lugging around a huge perfume bottle. Also they are airline friendly so you can take this on any airline in your hand luggage, as it has a unique pressure regulating system that makes sure the bottle adjusts to changing air pressure during flights.
The packaging is really simple and chic when you buy the Travalo they come already in a protective case to prevent scratches and dirt plus they are come in good for when storing them on your shelf etc. They are all really high quality and look expensive so when your paying £12.49 you can't complain. Since having one i have taken it everywhere with me. Definitely a 10/10 for me.

How to refill the bottle:
1) Make sure you refill on a flat surface, choose your ideal fragrance and take the nozzle of the top.
2) Then take your travalo right side up and simply pump in an up and down motion on the fragrance top and in a few seconds your bottle will be filled up.
(make sure the lid from the travalo is on as you don't want to press on the nozzle when filling up.)

Where to buy:
In the UK you can buy the travalo from the Fragrance Shop and also at www.travalo.com
They are priced a £12.49 which i believe it is well worth the money and it saves you lugging around your huge perfume bottles.  Travalo also run a 'Daily Spray' every day on there Facebook page which gives everyone who like the Facebook page a chance to win one

No7 Colour Calming Primer

I have never really cared too much for primers, nor did i see the point in using them when i apply moisturiser before my foundation anyways, but my mind has been changed for the better. I still had my £5 off No7 voucher too use in Boots so i decided to browse the No7 counter. (if your unfamiliar with No7 it is Boots own higher end brand). From having eczema on my face i still had red blotches from where it was inflamed, after speaking to the women about my skin problems and how unhappy i was with my appearance she showed me this colour calming primer which correct red complexions. I no longer look back.

So this product was around £10-£12 which i believe is well worth the money. It says to apply and blend a small amount into my face after doing so you can really notice the difference. Although after applying the green pigmentation made me look a bit ill but apart from that all the redness had been neutralised. This product is hypo-allergenic which is also a plus because i have stupidly sensitive skin!! It also leaves you skin very soft which allows your foundation to glide on smoothly. Now down to the primer side of the product, i do feel that it makes my makeup last that little bit longer especially when i have a long day at university but not long enough to just buy this product for the primer purpose itself. I highly recommend using this for redness around spots and all your red complexions but i wouldn't  recommend if your just looking for a primer. I am pretty sure that No7 do a hell of a lot of different primers for all skin types so next time your in boots pop in and see one of there specialists. I rate this a 7/10 for the colour calming side to the product.
